The study of the reliability of a wastewater treatment utilizing plants, has been extended to adsorption of cadmium and zirconium ions. The plants considered in the present work are Eichornia crassipes, Lemna minor and Elodea canadensis. Adsorbed metals has been evaluated in the ashes by plasma emission spectrometry. The results obtained provide useful informations on the rate of adsorption of studied ions.
