Immediate and late effects of donation of 450 ml blood on the working capacity of humans were studied in a group of adults. It was found that dosaged blood taking produced no significant decrease in the working capacity of donors. A distinct growth of blood parameters was recorded in the late posthemorrhagic period that characterized the aerobic potency of the human body. A conclusion has been made that blood donation could be recommended as a nonspecific factor of action extending adaptational possibilities of the human body.
