Distinguishing between a benign and malignant etiology of a segmental stricture in a colon involved with long-standing ulcerative colitis may present a diagnostic dilemma radiographically. A case of a constricting carcinoma arising in chronic ulcerative colitis diagnosed by computed tomography is presented.
