Use of the preparation Cafaminol in the treatment of acute rhinitis

Cafaminol was given to 30 patients with acute rhinitis. A group of similar cases treated by routine methods was serving as controls. Nasal occlusion and amount of nasal secretions were determined quantitatively and they were lower after Cafaminol treatment. The differences of the arithematic means of symptom intensity were statistically significant after 3 days of treatment. A rapid and nearly complete disappearance of the signs of rhinitis was obtained in 14 cases treated with Cafaminol. In 7 cases the intensity of rhinitis manifestations was significantly reduced.
