Five months after the return of a 58-year-old patient from Cyprus, he suddenly developed high temperatures, associated with anaemia, leucopenia, thrombocytopenia and hepatomegaly. Leishmania were detected in the sternal punctate. The diagnosis was confirmed by cultivation and serological examination. One month after termination of treatment with Lomidine, a relapse of the disease occurred. Repeated treatment with a combination of Lomidine and glucantime was successful and led to normalization of clinical findings. * *.
