This review examines the principle of chemotherapy in treating patients with multiple parasitic infections. The following groupings of multiple infections, which are of particular clinical significance, are discussed: onchocerciasis and loiasis; intestinal helminths; schistosomiasis; malaria; malaria and helminths; malaria and other protozoa; and multiple parasitic infections in acquired immune deficiency syndrome.
