Summaries The Uk Longitudinal Study is used to answer a number of key questions about the relationships between migration and poverty in Britain. In general, the poor migrate less than the rich, many of those who migrate succeed in escaping poverty, migration leads to a social polarization of the social class structures of metropolitan areas, and 'immigrants' are more likely to become poor than non-immigrants.
