The rate of multiplication of Candida albicans in spleen and kidneys and subsequent development of antibody was observed up to 20 days in a group of mice after i.v. inoculation of live C. albicans. Antibody appeared on day 4 with gradual rise in titre up to the period of study. Maximum viable count was observed in kidneys throughout the study. Antibody (induced and passive transfer) could not arrest the multiplication of the organisms in spleen and kidneys.
