Three Arab residents of the West Bank with prolonged fever, weight loss, lymphadenopathy and hepatosplenomegaly, a clinical picture generally attributed to lymphoreticular malignancy are described. All 3 were found to have prolonged bacterial diseases, which should be looked for in cases of this type among the rural Arab population.
