Variations in the normal equine ocular fundus are depicted photographically. Normal changes in the retinal blood vessels, optic papilla, tapetum lucidum and tapetum nigrum are presented, with illustrations of variations in the colour of the tapetum lucidum, pigmentary proliferations, albinism and the different forms of depigmentation in the tapetum nigrum.
