The bio-compatibility of the alloy Gisadent NCA was compared in cellular culturing and in animal experiment with the clinically proved alloy Wiron S. There were no differences between both alloys in the study of cellular culturing with regard to the acute local unspecific toxicity. This good tissue-compatibility was also confirmed by the implantation-test with guinea pigs. No signs of chronical toxicity were found after unspecific application. Good bio-compatibility can be expected, if the alloy is applied to a patient.
