Renal clearance and fractional excretion of electrolytes over a 24-hour period in horses

A study in ten healthy adult horses showed that mean renal clearances (C) of creatinine, potassium, chloride and calcium varied significantly among 6-hour periods. C varied by as much as a factor of 3 in some hosres. There was a much closer correlation between CCr, CK and CCl than between CCr, CNa and CCa.
