Cardiobiliary syndrome as a cause of recurrent ventricular fibrillation

A case history was presented of a woman with recurrent ventricular fibrillation. The patient developed the clinical picture of acute cholecystitis and underwent an emergency cholecystectomy. Acute gangrenous cholecystitis was diagnosed. After the operation the attacks of ventricular fibrillation stopped. This observation indicates the necessity for earlier detection of etiological factors during persistent disturbances of cardiac rhythm with the purpose of carrying out successful treatment.
