Gastric mucosa cell cycle parameters in 102 patients with different diseases were measured by 3H autoradiography during in vitro incubation; proliferative zones were also observed. The relationship between gastric cancer and precancerous lesions is discussed. The study of cytokinetics may contribute to early gastric carcinoma diagnosis.
