Changes in tonus of the temporal and masseter muscles in retrusion of the mandible

Some clinical symptoms which occur in TM investigation of the masseter and temporal muscles was performed on 15 persons. The investigation was made with the mandible in 3 positions (centric relation, retroposition and foreward position without occlusion). The comparative analysis has shown that the highest muscular tension occurs during retropositioning in the mandible.
