Neuromuscular function in anesthetized horses was monitored by stimulating the peroneal nerve and recording the mechanical responses. Responses to stimulation at various frequencies during halothane anesthesia in the absence of neuromuscular blockade, during partial non-depolarizing blockade, and after pharmacologic antagonism of the blockade are reported.
