Musculoskeletal problems in a sensitive person may be aggravated by environmental excitants. In addition, autonomic facilitation and musculoskeletal imbalance diminish the effectiveness of cellular metabolism and may hinder the body from tolerating environmental toxicants. The effect of environmental factors such as particulates, food, and chemicals on sensitive persons is explored. Comprehensive medical care including osteopathic manipulative treatment and adequate levels of nutrition, exercise, and psychosocial stability help to ensure resistance to environmental illness.
