A new class of 4-chlorophenylthio-pyridine-3-sulfonamides and their N-acyl and N-carbamoyl derivatives was synthesized. None of these products present any diuretic activity. Most are potent hypolipemic drugs in rats. The acute and subacute toxicity seems low.
