Based on a model of high-frequency motions of the indole group forming a part of the tryptophan residue side group, parameters of indole groups torsional vibrations in tryptophan-containing synthetic polypeptides and proteins were analyzed. Results of conformational analysis and experimental data on polarized luminescence previously obtained were used.
