The state of central hemodynamics in unstable angina pectoris and the effect of i.v. administration of propranolol on central hemodynamics were studied in 29 men, age 40-70. Propranolol did not cause any serious complications. I.v. administration of propranolol to patients with unstable angina pectoris, who had no contraindications, was safe.
