Root extracts from Digitaria decumbens 11 to 14 weeks old delayed egg hatch of M. incognita by 5 to 6 days. However just as many eggs hatched within 10 days in extracts from older plants as in that from the younger plants, except for 14 week-olds. Extracts from older plants killed most of the larvae within 10 days; those that hatched in root extracts from older plants were not irreversibly harmed.
