A device was developed which made it possible to rapidly submerge animals in water for performance of muscle work (swimming) at various stages of application of increased pressure and also to rapidly remove them from the water without decreasing the pressure in the barochamber. Compulsory muscle load in the form of swimming decreased the resistance of rats to decompression disorders, increasing the percent moribidity from aeroembolism.
