The case reported was in a 14-yr-old boy with a history of chronic otorrhoea treated with various antibiotics. There was evidence of ear infection, meningitis, consolidations in the lungs, cyst formation, pneumothorax and empyema. Blood cultures and mastoid swabs grew pure growth of 'mucor'. Complete recovery followed therapy with amphotericin B.
