Chicks in groups of 10 or 11 were given from 5 X 104 to 1 X 105 sporulated oocysts of E. tenella either with or without complete Freund's adjuvant. No mortality was recorded in the groups given E. tenella plus adjuvant except one death after a dose of 1 X 105. 8 to 6 chicks died in the groups not given the adjuvant.
