Previously reported operative therapy for clitoromegaly often consisted of complete removal of the clitoris, resulting in a loss of sensory function and a distortion of the normal external genital appearance. A surgical technique is presented that removes the corpora cavernosa and erectile tissue of the clitoris but successfully preserves the glans and its capacity for tactile sensation.
