Triceps surae muscle in Prosimiae

The triceps surae muscle in 10 prosimiae [Nycticebus coucang, Loris gracilis, Lemur varius, L. bruneus, L. sp. and L. macaco] was studied. Attention was paid to the degree of development of the bellies of this muscle, altitude of their union, and the relation of muscular to tendinous portion. The soleus was also examined, its attachments, shape, and connection with gastrocnemius were considered. The measurements of the triceps surae provided data for the calculation of indices illustrating some observed features.
