A comparative analysis of data on the ECG test with bicycle ergometer exercise was made at various levels of the combined effect of 3 risk factors (elevated systolic arterial pressure, smoking and hypercholesterolemia). In patients with angina of effort without a history of myocardial infarction a decrease in tolerance to physical exertion was observed as the total level of the 3 main risk factors increased, which may point to a great risk of development of complications during the natural course of the disease in patients with high levels of risk factors. In patients without symptoms of ischemic heart disease tolerance to physical exertion in the group with a high level of the 3 main risk factors was lower than in the group with low risk level. Using the method of total evaluation of the 3 main risk factors makes it possible to identify persons with decreased tolerance to physical exertion among healthy people and among patients with ischemic heart disease.
