White piedra: report of a case evaluated by scanning electron microscopy

A case of infection of the scrotal hairs by Trichosporon beigelii is reported in a 27-yr-old man, who had not travelled outside Finland for several yr, but who had a sexual contact with a woman from a foreign country. This is only the 2nd case of white piedra reported from Finland. The patient was cured by cutting all the hairs in the affected region.
