Modified Blix' procedure was suggested for determining the activity of plasminogen proactivator. Data on the plasminogen proactivator examination in patients with various diseases of the liver are presented. The plasminogen proactivator activity was changing in parenchymatous lesions of the liver. Study of the plasminogen proactivator activity is valuable in viral hepatitis and may serve as a functional test in liver diseases.
