Effect of femigen used as a contraceptive on female sexuality

Prospective investigations were carried out on 126 women taking Femigan as contraception for 2 years to determine its effect on sexuality. 21 women ceased taking Femigen. The effects of the drug were multifaceted; in particular, there was the removal of fear of unwanted pregnancy (67.6%), improvement of wellbeing and psychological outlook (46.7%), and strengthening of bonds with partners (24.7%). A positive effect of the agent on sexual function in women was seen in 19%, while an unfavorable effect was seen in 7.6%. (author's modified)
