Series of cytoarchitectonic preparations have been studied in 12 cerebral hemispheres obtained from goats 19-35 kg of body mass, at the age of 2-3 years. The structure of the goat hypothalamic nuclei is similar to those in other animals. Nevertheless, quantitative-qualitative comparison has demonstrated that according to the developmental degree of the hypothalamic area, the goat brain occupies an intermediate position in the evolutional row, between the primates and the animals with lower organization.
