Organic acids were obtained in an alkaline medium from a mixture of monosaccharides-carbohydrates to be used in a closed life support system. Methods of analysis of mixtures of synthetic acids were developed. The composition of mixtures of organic acids was identified by paper chromatography. During electrodialysis the mixtures release Ca2+.
