Under the conditions of adequate substitution therapy, it is possible to expand the scope of comprehensive rehabilitation therapy of patients suffering from hemophilia. Blood aspiration from the affected joints in large hemarthroses enabled the attainment of a more complete therapeutic effect and reduction of the stay at a hospital. The functional and physiotherapeutic treatment with the use of glucocorticoids and X-ray therapy reduced the incidence of hemorrhages and decreased the inflammation in the particular tissues. Application of the Volkov-Oganesyan and G.A. Ilizarov appliances made it possible to eliminate the contractures and recover the scope of movements of the affected joints. Present-day hemostatic therapy favors expanding the scope of surgical interventions in patients with hemophilia.
