Improvement in the equipment assembly layouts in microbiological production

The actual values of the sterilization criterion were calculated for quantitative estimation of the sterilization regimen efficacy in weak points of the standard units of the assembly diagrams. Comparison of the actual values of the sterilization criterion with the required value calculated by the value of the aseptic efficiency resulted in identification of the nonsterilized cavities in the above units. To provide sterilization and its equal efficacy in all points of the internal cavities of the units it is recommended that the points of steam supply and condensate discharge from the material pipe line be immediately transferred into the valve cases forming dead cavities. Investigation of the temperature fields and quantitative estimation of the sterilization regimens of the improved units showed that the routine sterilization regimens may be changed by lowering the sterilization temperature or sterilization period. It is recommended to lower the sterilization period for the improved units from 60 to 1 min at the sterilization temperature of 139.degree. C. Investigation of the temperature fields in the units of the apparatus assembly diagrams, quantitative estimation of the sterilization regimens, improvement of the units and changing of the sterilization regimens provided an improvement of the assembly diagram: the collectors were placed below the unions of the apparatus in handy areas, the length of thermic seal pipes was decreased, the sterilization procedure was changed by supplying steam into the valve sectioning the apparatus cavity from the thermic seal cavity with discharge of the vapor condensate mixture through the collector, thermic seals were mounted on the pipe line for discharge of the vapor condensate mixture from the collector into the line of polluted condensate and temperature probes were mounted for control of the collector sterilization conditions. Improvement of the apparatus assembly diagram and optimization of the sterilization regimens provided a significant decrease in the use of vapor for sterilization, an increase in ergonomic parameters of the assembly diagram, improvement of the sanitary and hygienic conditions in production areas, an increase in labor productivity and quality of finished products.
