The authors treat the problem of the skin damages produced by the UV-rays as an occupational hazard. An antiopathogenetic parallel with the other light dermatoses is discussed. 6836 cases with solar keratoses and 3816 with skin cancer are described; 47% of solar keratosis and 43% with skin cancer can be related to the occupational environment. 160 cases with "Kusbas"-Dermatitis, 20 cases with toxic melanodermitis, six with photoallergic dermatitis caused by largactyl and nine with solar urticaria are discussed in connection with their pathogenesis.
