A case history was presented of an 18-yr-old male, and indices of hemocoagulation of family members were given. The familial character of the disease, the autosomal-dominant inheritance, the clinical picture and characteristic data of laboratory examination made it possible to confirm a diagnosis of von Willebrand's disease. Causes for the severity of the disease were discussed.
