Surgical aspects of occlusive vascular lesions

Surgery was performed on 806 of 1300 of patients with diseases of the aorta and main arteries. Localization of vascular lesions was distributed among the following: occlusive lesions of the aorta and main arteries, occlusive lesions of the renal arteries (vasorenal hypertension), aneurysm of the aorta and main arteries, and acute thrombosis and embolisms. Less than 50% of the patients underwent restorative-reconstructive operations. Successful solution of the problems of therapy of diseases of the aorta and its branches depends on early detection and timely performance of reconstructive operations.
