Due to the development of bioelectric investigations new possibilities enable continuous monitoring of many life functions in the neonate. Problems concerning the study of the neonatal circulatory system were evaluated. The parameters of the circulatory system function suitable for monitoring are the fetal heart rate, the alterations of the fetal heart rate, the ECG signal, arterial blood pressure, central venous pressure and electromechanic intervals in the circulatory system function. Monitoring of breathing and of O2 partial pressure and the interrelations between these parameters were analyzed.
