The selection and development of analytical techniques which permit the appraisal of the decomposition of sodium nitroprusside products were presented. A method for the quantitative analysis of the free cyanides using a specific electrode and a colorimetrical quantitative analysis of the nitrites are described. The study of the stability of the injectable formulae of sodium nitroprusside (6 solutions and 4 lyophilized) is reported. The results of the quantitative analysis effected during 6 mo. of conservation both in light and in darkness are shown.
