The results of a comparative estimation of two variants of transfusion methods used in 95 children and juveniles with scoliosis in operations on the vertebral column are described. Artificial hemodilution against the background of ganglionic blockade was shown to have certain advantages in order to prevent great blood loss. Hypervolemia was found not to result in overloading the cardio-vascular system even in children with the most pronounced deformity of the vertebral column and the accompanying pathology of organs and systems.
