Rat liver cystathionine .beta.-synthase was studied in male Wistar rats. The specific activity of the enzyme increased on storage of crude preparation. Effect(s) of pH, incubation and reducing agents were elucidated. This enzyme is capable of existing in several forms, with MW between 400,00 and 85,000.
