Using a rosette technique with ox red blood cells (ORBC) coated with rabbit Ig cells. The expressions of IgM- and IgG-Fc receptors on human T, and probably non-T, lymphocytes in culture even under nonstimulating conditions change in opposite directions, and protein glycosylation in the cell membrane may be a common factor influencing the expression of Fc receptors. This is necessary for the structure of IgM receptors, but unnecessary for the structure of IgG receptors to exert a receptor activity.
