Bilateral retinal arterial macroaneurysms

Three patients with retinal arterial macroaneurysms were observed. In the bilateral case the correct diagnosis was initially difficult, although the fibrosis of macroaneurysm was observed in the fellow eye, and the condition was diagnosed as macular hemorrhage due to subretinal neovascularization. The fellow eye's condition apparently requires more consideration for the early diagnosis and treatment of the aneurysm.
