Studies of the microcirculation by the method of conjunctival biomicroscopy in 138 patients with acute and chronic diffuse glomerulonephritis have shown that the diseases coursed in the presence of marked disorders in the end blood flow. The changes were characterized by perivascular edema, hemorrhages, irregularity of the caliber, aneurysm development in the vessels, desolation of the capillaries, development of the sledge phenomenon up to microthrombosis, and disturbance of the blood flow. The extent of destruction depended on the process activity and the form of chronic nephritis. There was a significant relationship between the changes of the end blood flow and the development of renal insufficiency, the degree of glomerular filtrtion, proteinurua and to a lesser extent of canalicular reabsorption.
