In the blue-green algae culture the amount of bacteria increases simultaneously with accumulation of extracellular organic compounds. In the lag-phase under defined conditions the quantity of extracellular excretions and accompanying bacteria may increase. Later on at the exponential phase the amount of satellite bacteria at first decreases and at the end of this state it rises again. The values of the ratio of the bacteria to soluble organic substances at the beginning of the exponential growth are considerably lower than at the end of this stage which evidences for the inhibition of the bacterial development in the inital period of the intensive growth of the blue-green alga cultures. The content of the extracellular organic substances and the amount of satellite bacteria in the cultures of algae under study are established to vary within 24 h.
