Of 10 Indian medicinal plants tested, only Acacia decurrens (stem bark), Gaultheria nummularioides (whole plant) and Caesalpinia coriaria (fruit) were effective in changing human cervical mucus characteristics and inhibiting sperm migration (when applied at extract concentrations of 2 and 1%).
