Following an introductory discussion of the increasing incidence of ocular mycosis, a case history is presented. The 60-yr-old patient developed Candida panuveitis after intensive care (artificial respiration, infusions, antibiotic therapy) subsequent to multiple traumata. Through systemic amphotericin B and 5-fluorocytosine as well as local corticosteroid, the eye was saved, although a scar of the vitreous humour, retina and choroid membrane remained.
