A mathematical method of sequential statistical analysis was used to make a table for differential diagnosis of latent forms of syphilis. This table will help clinicians decipher and differentiate the diagnosis of unspecified latent syphilis into early and late latent seropositive syphilis. This is important for carrying out appropriate organizational and dispensary measures because early latent syphilis is as epidemiologically dangerous as secondary relapsing syphilis.
