The anti-anergic properties and antitumor potential of levamisole hydrochloride were evaluated in human prostatic cancer. Levamisole was capable of in vitro stimulation of leukocytes by increasing leukocyte adherence inhibition reactivity. It also had an inhibitory effect on tumor growth in animal models and no apparent side effects when administered to humans.
