The effect of Cu, Ca, Cd, Zn, B, Co, Mn and Fe salts on the development in the culture of F. annosa (Fr.) Karst fungus affecting Abies and Picea was examined. The Cd, Zn, Co, Cu and B trace elements have a significant inhibitory effect on the development of the mentioned fungus which is pronounced in hypoplasia and hypha degeneration. When the element doses in the medium vary from 0.1-1%, no germination of the fungus mycelium is observed. Fe concentration of 08-0.01% in the medium had a strong stimulating effect on the development of F. annosa.
